Part of their fall collection, the eye palette in Neo Classic (£42) comes in the signature 360º swivel compact. The mirror is a great size and the palette contains a little dual ended brush applicator.
The palette contains 6 eye shades. Five are matte (inky navy blue, intense black, dusty rosy pink, chocolate brown and cream) along with 1 shimmer, which is a gentle brightening peach.
I really like how they have chosen to have the two lighter shadows in a larger size as these will be the ones that you'd likely use more of.
As with all Hourglass shadows these are richly pigmented, very long wearing and blend well.
I really like this palette, I was initially hesitant as I thought it would just be liner shades and base shades, but they are very versatile, in the look above I used all shades and just blended the darks with the lights to get my preferred colour intensity.
This does not contain fragrance, gluten, parabens, phthalates or sulfates.

A very beautiful look!
ReplyDeleteThat's a gorgeous palette. Really beautiful (and useful) selection of shades.
ReplyDeleteIt looks gorgeous and it's so expensive :(
ReplyDeleteI'm still dithering over this palette. The colours look beautiful though and I am very interested to see how Hourglass do matte eyeshadows. Thanks for your post as it helps a lot with my decision making!
ReplyDeleteJane x
Really, really gorgeous palette! That blue is to die for! Love the look you came up with :)
ReplyDeleteThis palette just arrived at my local hourglass counter. It is beautiful, I almost bought it but I have exceeded my monthly beauty fund :-P
ReplyDeleteI've always liked Hourglass eyeshadows. I'm not a matte eyeshadow person but this doesn't look dull like a lot of mattes.
ReplyDeleteHi Eli,
ReplyDeleteThank you :)
Hi Grace,
I have been using it a lot since I bought it, hopefully they will bring out more palettes with future collections x
Hi Evelien,
Its always the way isn't it, the prettier they are, the more ££ ;)
Hi Jane,
I think you would get a lot of use out of it, probably not as much use with the pinky shade. The texture is really good, the coverage they give is really impressive x
Hi Vintage Makeup,
Thank you :) I do love the blue, its such a rich colour.
Hi Rei,
I have a habit of exceeding my monthly cosmetic fund as well ;) I seem to do it within the first week or so of the month as well, which isn't good ;)
Hello Marcia,
I was very impressed as mattes can often go wrong, I think the coverage, long wear and pure colour of these make them that bit special :)
Beautiful palette, definitely easy to use and for once not all browns or greys or shimmers!!!
ReplyDeleteGod knows I don't need anymore palettes in my collection, but this is definitely one to collect!!!
PS Excellent eye makeup look! ;) xx
I've loved every Hourglass product I've tried thus far (gloss, lipstick, foundation and primer.) This palette is absolutely gorgeous on you! I'm going to have to check it out in person, but I have a sneaking suspicion that soon it, too, will be mine!

Hi Tina,
ReplyDeleteThank you :) I know what you mean, I have so many palettes now I am going to have to get bigger storage! It is a lovely selection of shades though :)
Hi Shannon,
LOL, yes, if you see it you'll have to grab it. Glad you like the eye look :) They are one of my favourite brands for eyeshadows:)
Great look! This palette looks very versatile. I really love the texture of the Hourglass shadows :) xx
ReplyDeleteThank you for this post, it's very useful as I haven't seen much info or swatches about this palette online. I think I might get it next time I order at Zuneta, although I do wish that there was only one light colour because they look quite similar to each other.
ReplyDeleteHi Makeup Magpie,
ReplyDeleteThank you :) They do have a really good texture, very long wearing and opaque, I do hope they bring out some more palettes like this xx
Hello Klara,
Glad to help, I have seen two other reviews for this but have been surprised its not got more of a mention, seems like its been overlooked! I do think you would get a lot of use out of both the light shades, you'd probably use the matte as an all over colour and the peachy one as highlighter or applied over the other colours to give them a bit of a shimmer x
What a stunning palette! Gorgeous look you did, makes your eye color pop!
ReplyDeleteHi Sonia,
ReplyDeleteThank you :) It really does contain a lot of useful shades, I hope they bring out some more versions.
