Chanel Illusion D'Ombre Eyeshadow in Emerveille

Am I allowed to have a change of heart? I have to say I was not keen on the Illusion d'ombre long wear luminous eyeshadows when we first met, however Convoitise changed my mind so I picked up Emerveille (£24).
Its a pretty shimmery peach, too much can look a tad frosty so I tend to apply just one wash as below.
The colour is easily built up if desired (below is with two layers).

This shade works nicely for a wash of colour or just added on top of a powder shadow to add that touch of brightening shimmer.
 Swatched below with Convoitise
The formula blends well and works with powder shadows, without any balling up. To get a days wear I need a primer, though to be fair I do find myself using a primer on a daily basis these days, just gives that bit more of insurance.

Overall I'm very happy with this, its not often I'll do a U turn on a product but you can count this as one.

I bought this from Boots.

  1. Wow! This is exactly the product I wished you would review! i've had my eye (haha) on this for a while but only ever seen swatches on darker skintones, making it hard to decide if it would suit me. Now I am convinced this will be a lovely addition to my eyeshadow stash! Thank you!!!

    1. Glad it helped :) I always find it useful to look for bloggers with similar skin tones as well, a product can vary so much depending on your tone.

It's the most versatile shade for my skintone and it looks very girly
