Charlotte Tilbury: K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipstick, Lip Cheat & Lip Lustre

With corresponding shades of lipstick, liner and gloss, there really is no guess work involved with the Charlotte Tilbury lip range.
All the products I bought are variants of pinky naturals with a touch of warmth.

I opted for the lipstick named Bitch Perfect (£23), I'd say it has a semi matte finish. Its pigment heavy, and applies smoothly with a creamy texture, it does not bleed at all and has a really good wear time. The downsides for me is the heavy feel and though I don't find it drying its not hydrating either.

The Lip Cheat liner in Pink Venus (£16) is slightly deeper in tone than the lipstick but they still work well together. It has a smooth texture that glides on without any feathering. It looks natural and seems to just meld in rather than looking like obvious liner. Again, its not all perfect as I find it has a tacky feel and can look a bit drying if used all over.

The glosses are called Lip Lustres, Sweet Stiletto (£16.50) pairs perfectly with the other lip shades I got, it has medium pigment and a very high gloss finish and really does create a plumped up look. It has a good wear time for a gloss, but again is quite heavy and has some tackiness.
Swatches below (they look warmer swatched than how they apply),

I am very particular with my lip products and will always opt for the lighter, hydrating lip formula's, so initially I wasn't keen on these, but the performance has really won me round. Though I don't feel like any of these fall into the moisturising category, nor am I keen on the heavier, tacky texture,  I have to give praise to the flattering colours, coverage and impressive lasting abilities

I bought these from charlottetilbury.com

  1. What a beautiful trio of complimentary colours. I bet they look wonderful on you. Like you I prefer lighter textures but I need them to be creamy and moisturizing. So far my favs are still Burberry and my one and only Suqqu, they feel heavenly when applied.

    1. I do love the Burberry lip mists, keep meaning to buy some more, and the Suqqu moist are lovely as well. Though the CT lip products aren't perfect for me I am tempted to pick some more up :)

  2. They are lovely colours. I had a quick play with a few items in the range last week although the counter was busy so I didn't have a proper look at the lip products. I definitely love the eyeliner in Audrey so I'm very tempted by that and the blushes which are also gorgeous.

    1. I am going to get some more blushers as well, I think its a really turned out range on the whole, the concealer is meant to be really good as well so thats next on my list :)

  3. I love the coordination of colors. Do these have a fragrance? That is always my first question.

    1. I've sat here and had a good smell of them all, I can't detect a fragrance in the pencil but the gloss has a slight fragrance, slightly sweet and the lipstick has the same sweetness but a bit stronger, though not overpowering (nothing along the lines of Edward Bess for example).

  4. Oh noo, no tackiness please, that's a huge issue for me when it comes to lipgloss! Though I doubt I can resist me some Charlotte Tilbury makeup at this point, I have my eyes set on Seduction lipgloss and I intend to get it, no matter what! Lol!

    1. I like your determination :) Its not as tacky as a MAC gloss and I am very picky with how lip products feel so hopefully you will get on with it x

  5. We are back in agreement, Clare! ;) I did think these were nice but a bit heavy -- quite 'dated' feeling, in fact, and I wonder if it was an intentional part of CT's vintage boudoir aesthetic to make them feel like A Lip once worn?

    1. I'm glad balance has now been restored as was worried for a moment there ;)
That's interesting about the "dated" feel as I get what you mean, I do think that is what she was after in some respects, certainly seems to be echoed with the design of the products.

    1. There are parallels with MAC, though I find these a lot longer lasting.
Yes, I wasn't sure what to make of the name, guess its one that you'd remember, though if someone asked what you were wearing might not want to say ;)
      xx
