I would have happily gone home with everything from the Sisley
spring-summer California Soul Collection. Whilst it has an undeniable
warm theme there are some interesting cools thrown in with the Velvet
shadow (which is a dusty mauve/grey) and the Amethyst Kohl (sparkly
purple). The centre piece is the beautiful Orchid Palette, (I'm pretty
sure this is the same palette that was released with the 2012
spring/summer collection), which swatches as a glowy peachy/coral pink. Sadly my wage doesn't take into
account my high end makeup "needs" so I am having to get items from this
collection a bit at a time.
The mono shadow in #22 Eclat Linen (£27.50)
is a matte cream shade with a hint of warmth.
Used as a base or as a
nude lid shade, it is not too warm or stark in colour and brightens up
the eye nicely. The texture is smooth and very fine and blends and lasts
really well.

One of the two lipsticks from the collection was the
Phyto-Lipshine in shade Sheer Coral (£27.50).
It is a sheer coral with
bit of pink in the mix and fine golden shimmer. The formula of the
Phyto-Lipshines feels very creamy and balm like and they have a very
good moisturising quality.

Sisley is one of those brands that never seems to
get as much coverage of its makeup as they really should. Although their
line is concise, they really do have some wonderfully flattering, high
quality products.
I bought these from John Lewis.

I'm always tempted to pick out something from Sisley... it's the price tag that keeps me away... for now :)
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, I tend to only get one or two things at a time :)
DeleteOh Wow that lipstick is gorgeous!! I might have to take a trip to John Lewis I think!! x
ReplyDeleteIts a great spring/summer shade, the collection is really well put together x
DeleteHi Replica,
ReplyDeleteI have never tried any makeup product from Sisley. However I'm actually interested to try some of their products like powders. What Sisley product would you recommend?
The stand outs for me are the blushers (delicate colour which has a beautiful glow),lipsticks and eyeshadows (they have some lovely neutrals) x
DeleteThe shades and texture look beautiful! I tried three products by Sisley in the past (face sunscreen, oil free foundation and bronzer)and I was not disappointed but they are so expensive!
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining my Google Friends!

...actually I tried also the loose face powder which I found very silky and luminous and I used it till the last speckle! I have not bought it again yet, because of the price tag and because I love trying new products all the time.

Hi Alice,
DeleteTheir products are rather spendy, sometimes I think its a good thing that they never bring out that many new makeup items :)
