Tom Ford Lip Colour Negligee, Ultra Shine Lip Gloss Pink Guilt & Bronzing Powder Terra

On hearing that my brother was going on a business trip, I of course presented him with a hopeful list of makeup to pick up from the airport.

Lets start with the limited edition for Fall, lip colour in Negligee. It really is the perfect rose for the autumnal season. It has a very slight sheen to it so it doesn't look flat. I tend to prefer the TF lip shines to this formula, but I find Negligee not drying like I have other colours in the past and the creamy feel, opaque coverage and very long lasting wear are all great attributes.

Ultra shine lip gloss in Pink Guilt is a warm golden copper with some pink. It has a high-shine finish, with high pigment that provides opaque coverage. It has a smooth, albeit quite thick, tacky texture that does not feel drying. Its one of the longest lasting glosses I've tried. Though I am not a fan of the stickiness, the colour payoff and wear time is so good that I would get another one.

Lastly we have the Bronzing Powder is Terra, which has a matte finish.
The compact is humongous and quite heavy, though you are getting a good amount of product (21 grams). It has a very useful large mirror, which I find myself using for applying a lot of my makeup.

Being pale and cool toned, bronzers tend to either look orange or like dirt, but Terra is perfect, with just the right balance of warmth that never turns orange or muddy looking. I'd say pigment is on the lighter side but I find this ideal as it allows for foolproof application and its easily built up should you desire.
It has a smooth texture that is not powdery/dry and lasts a good 9 hours before I notice any fading.

This is the best bronzer I've tried, application is a breeze, as unlike a lot of bronzers, I don't have to really blend/buff this in, it just seems to apply seamlessly with no hard edges, never looking patchy.
Furthermore the colour is perfect for adding a natural looking healthy warmth to my complexion.

Well what a success as I love all the products, many thanks to my brother.

My brother bought me these from Heathrow terminal 3

  1. Aww your brother is way nice! I remember that huge Heathrow terminal well. Happiest place on earth (or almost) LOL

Negligee looks great in the swatch! I keep hearing great things about TF bronzers, especially from those who have a cooler undertone. I don't, but still I want to check it out :)

    1. Yes, I think I'll keep him :)
I was surprised how much better the TF performed compaired to other bronzers I've tried, worth a try, it might be that the warmer golden tone, Gold dust, might work for you as well.

  2. I'd love to see the new Tom Ford lipsticks in person. My sister is going to start freelancing for the line so I'll get over to Neiman Marcus when she's there and have her pick me out one (or more). I feel guilty paying so much for a lipstick but they are my favorites.

  3. Uh oh--you've done it again, got me coveting more pretty things. I have Negligee, and agree that it's a bit less drying than other TF lipsticks. The color is a little warmer than ideal for me, yet I do really like it. But now I want Pink Guilt and Terra! A cool-toned bronzer? Yessss. :)

Yep, its not often that a more cooler toned bronzer comes along, if you do pick it up, let me know your thoughts :) x

    2. I'm so glad that there wasn't a dud in the bunch! I imagine that it is the last bronzer that you will ever "need" because of its colossal size! The first time that I saw them I couldn't believe the size! I have been thinking about getting Gold Dust, but need to try it a few more times to make sure that it's not too warm for my cool skin tone!
