Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Eyeshadow holiday 2010

The Eyes to Kill are Armani's newest shadow formula. The texture is in-between a powder and a cream. It applies really smooth and feels lightweight and comfortable on, I do apply a thin layer of primer to get it to last all day.

There are four shadows released for this winter, it seems America will have a delayed release of shade #14.
Shade 14 gold/black (£24) is a shimmery mix of charcoal/gold with a slight olive tone. The shade seems to vary depending on what angle you look at it.
The intensity of color and ease to blend is impressive.
Probably not the best picture, but this is it applied sheerly with a brush (this is after over 8 hours wear with a slight bit of primer).
I think they are meant to be releasing more shades next year which I am definitely interested in as I tend to not like the application of the majority of non powder shadows but I find this extremely easy to work with.
I bought this from Selfridges.

  2. Ooooooooh, I like the look of that. Looks gorgeous applied too.

The new Laura Mercier Sequin eyeshadows are dreadful, saw them in SpaceNK. NO pigmentation whatsoever, just really sheer sparkles.

  3. This looks beautiful, I love the way it glistens in the photo. Also which mascara have you used? As it looks like quite a deep black.

  5. Oh, this is a definite must-have, it's stunning! Haven't seen these here yet, there's an Armani counter in my town but it seldom has limited edition releases, just the permanent stuff, I'll have to trot off to Milan soon and have a proper look! I really really really love how it looks on you and the packaging is cute too :) xxx

  7. LOVE this Replica!! I love blackened olive greens like this one, beautiful!! It reminds me of MAC Pearlglide eyeliner in Black line, one of favorite liners ever!

  8. That is beautiful, I love my olive-gold-greens. It's a splurge though! Still, I'm sure it will find it's way into my makeup bag!

  9. Hi Makeup Magpie,
As soon as I tried it on I wished I had ordered some of the other shades as well!

    Hi Grace,
Thanks, I could really see you in this colour, what I love is that it is so easy and apart from a bit of liner I don't need to combine another colour with it, great when I am in a rush.
I have two of those sparkle shadows in the LM holiday palette I bought and do find them really lacking in pigment, such a shame as that range looked like it had a nice vivid blue type colour.

    Hi Meeta,
Thanks. The mascara is the new Hourglass one and you have reminded me that I need to do a review of it :)

    Hi Nina,
Yes, you do NEED it ;) I think we may also need at least one of the other shades, you know..for company.. x

    Hi Anna,
Thank-you, I think these will sell really well, I'll be interested to see what shades they bring out next year, lets hope for a taupe! x

    Hello Jane,
Yes the texture is quite different,I wouldn't want to press down in it too hard I think.
I'll see if you can withstand the urge to get one of these, don't fancy your chances ;)

    Hi Lakshmi,
It is a lovely colour, I wasn't sure at first if it might apply a bit too sparkly/gaudy but it just works, I used to have a load of Armani so this reminds me how much I use to like the brand.

    Hi Nazia,
For the amount you need for a look, there sure it a lot of product in the pot, shame they didn't give less product and cut the price a bit, still I won't let that put me off getting more :)

  13. That is a stunning colour. I love the complexity and how it has a depth to it on your eyes.

I might just have to make this mine very soon!

  14. Hi Tina,
The wear is impressive, I don't usually get on to well with cream based products.

    Hi Jen,
It is one of those colours I stare at once I have put it on, I think you may well have to get it ;)
