Inglot is one of the few more affordable brands who's quality is
consistently compared with that which you would expect from more
mid/higher priced brands. I've been intrigued with trying the brand for
a while but the extensive range of shades was somewhat intimidating, its
one of those brands that made me think, now where do I start?
In the end I opted for trying the shadows and a lipstick.
Inglot have a magnetic refillable palette system called the freedom
system.
Available in varying finishes I bought the following shadows
(£4.50 each and £7 for the palette) #363 (matte cool medium brown with a slight grey/purple tone) #154 (shimmery rose copper), #397 (shiny/shimmery
peach) #390 (matte grey/beige) #153
(shimmery taupe/mauve).
All the shades have great colour payoff, and blend very well. They all
feel smooth but the non matte shades have a softer, creamy texture. The
shimmer level is higher than I would normally go for, but nonetheless
the shades are still very pretty.
I went for a lipstick in the cream formula, shade #218 (£10). Its a
natural looking berry with a satin finish. It feels quite heavy
on, and is a bit drying, but then on the flip side it does have very
good coverage and a good wear time.
Though the lipstick was not comfortable enough to make me want to buy
any more, I have already bought another palette of eye shadows as I think
for the price and good quality you really can't go wrong with these.
I bought these from an Inglot free standing store.

If I lived near an Inglot store, I'd really be in trouble. I think the eyeshadows are so interesting. I try to stick with the Pearl finish but in the store they aren't labeled enough to really tell. They make some great greens which I discovered after being about 10 neutrals.
ReplyDeleteI think I might make a note of the non high shimmered finish numbers before I next go to the store as like you say the labeling in store doesn't really help. I have to admit my other palette contains neutrals as well but I am planning to go for some more colour in my next one :)
DeleteWhoa, I LOVE the items you picked up! Those eyeshadow shades are calling my name rather loudly, and a rosy lipstick can't go wrong on most :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, there was so many lovely looking neutrals, it was hard to narrow it down :)
DeleteI feel that inglot is one of those brands you got to see for yourself before you can decide what to buy. Just too many options. It's hard to decide based on online swatches. I love the colours you picked. Very you.
ReplyDeleteThanks :) I do agree that its a brand best seen in store, though I don't think the SA was happy with my little boy swatching everything :)
DeleteHaha that's why I never bring my boy shopping with me, I pass him to my hubby so c
DeleteI can have peace of mind. My boy loved to take all my lipsticks and hide them in his 'treasure' box. He would taken them out one by one and put them in again. Some of my lipsticks were smushed by its hard to get angry with him.
I hear you, my little boy has destroyed so much of my makeup, he tends to go for the more expensive items as well, its like he knows! :)

ReplyDeleteI think that Inglot is the best polish brand, I have 2 pallets and I will buy another, this time with colour eyeshadows. Lipstics are so-so, nail enamels are ordinary. I heard blushes are good, but don't know if it's true
ReplyDeleteI was very tempted to try the blushers, some of them seemed very sparkly though but I think I might pick up one to try. I bought the concealer that was ok, but bought my other shadow palette today and was really pleased again with the quality :)
DeleteI have a z palette full of these . Love them .. I need to do a swatch post maybe ..

ooh yes that would be good to see swatches of them, when I got some more recently I kept picking up the shades I already have, so I clearly need to broaden my horizons :)
