This Autumn, Benefit has brought out three complexion and three lip
& Cheek kits.
The Complexion Kits contain mini sizes of the
POREfessional, Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow, Boi-Ing Concealer (2
shades) and Hello Flawless Powder.
I bought the Light set (£24.50). Porefessional is silicone loaded and
feels silky smooth as you'd expect, it does fill in pores to
create a smooth surface, though I can't get more than 5 hours wear
before it vanishes. Its slightly difficult for me to access the
Hello Flawless Oxygen WOW Brightening Makeup as I have only used
it a handful of times because its very dark and though I am likely
paler that what the industry denotes as pale I am still surprised
to see this shade in a kit for light complexions. Its sheer to
medium coverage, gives a natural finish that lasts well but is
slightly cakey on dryer areas.
You get two shades of the Boi-ing
concealer 01 and 02. 01 works best for me, it has good pigment,
lasts well but it prone to highlighting lines under the eyes.
The Hello Flawless Powder, is again too dark; it has a silky
smooth feel and provides a light coverage and holds makeup in
place well. It does not look too powdery and removes unwanted
shine. Unfortunately every time I have worn this I have had quite
severe break outs (my skin is very sensitive and acne prone).

I fared better with the Lip & Cheek Kit. I went for the
corals, Go Tropicoral (£24.50),
which contains mini sizes of Cha cha tint Tinted
Lip & Cheek Stain (orange peach shade), High Beam (shimmery cool pale pink highlighter), Coralista Face
Powder (coral pink with golden shimmer), and Ultra Plush Gloss in Coralista
(extremely sheer coral).
The Chachatint is buildable and lasts well though it does stain
the skin. High Beam again lasts well, though best to use a light
hand or it can look a bit frosty.
The Coralista Face Powder is the
star of the show, a very pretty brightening colour, great to perk
up the face.
The Coralista Ultra Plush lip gloss feels moisturising
and very slick and does not last long. The scent is very fruity yet
slightly plastic.

All the kits have application tips/tricks on the inside on the lid
(which are detachable), behind them is a mirror. Its a solid
concept, which allows you to try a range of products at an
affordable price. Whilst the complexion kit wasn't right for me, if
you can find a colour match and don't have fussy skin it is
really nice to have all the base products you need in one set and
with Christmas on the horizon I think the Lip & Cheek Kits might
make a nice option for someone new to the brand.
I bought these from Debenhams.

These are nice little kits! I have Coralista and like it a lot :)
ReplyDeleteHello,
DeleteYou suit those types of shades really well so I can see why you like it ;) I don't pay that much attention to the brand but they do have some nice things actually, quite like the look of their watts up highlighter as well x
I saw this at my local sephora few days ago. I quite like the idea of putting all the necessary items together. I like the tropi coral better :)
ReplyDeleteHi,
DeleteIt is nice having them together, they seem very much about kits these days, quite liked the look of some of their holiday ones as well :)
