Like the majority of the population
I finally have Chanel Boy (£24).
As this was
the one shade that was released earlier in some stores to showcase the
new Coco shine lipstick formula in 2011, they must have thought it
universal. In the tube it looks like a slightly mauve pink with a hint
of shimmer, it swatches slightly warmer on my skin but applies on the
lips as a sheer slightly cool toned rosy pink with a glossy/shine finish.
I really like this, its very easy to wear and it won't compete with your other makeup.
I swatched it below with more cooler tones L-R: #52 Fetiche, #54 Boy, #72
Effrontée
With a light weight and hydrating formula, the Coco shines are very
comfortable, wear time is poor though.
Ingredients
My brother bought me this from the world duty free store at Terminal 5,
Heathrow airport.

I'm probably the only one who doesnt't own this, It's really beautiful! x
ReplyDeleteHi Drama Makeup,
DeleteIt does seem like nearly everyone has it, its very pretty but you might well have similar x
I love Boy, it's one of those shades that I don't need to think about. Reading this makes me want to add some more Rouge Coco Shines to my collection, love them!
ReplyDeleteHi Meeta,
DeleteThey are addictive little things ;) I am sure I'll end up getting the two from the fall collection when it comes out x
Replica, that is a lovely shade.
ReplyDeleteHi Jacqueline,
DeleteIt is a great everyday shade, just glad I finally have it :)
I was looking at this at LHR! Now I can't remember why I didn't get it...
ReplyDeleteHi The Procrastinator,
DeleteYou know I kept looking at this one but kept getting sidetracked by other shades, maybe you might get it next time :)
I still don't have this! Your beautiful photos have reminded me that I should really add this shade to my collection soon! x
ReplyDeleteHi makeup magpie,
DeleteThanks :) I think it would be a welcome addition x
Boy was my first RCS, and it's probably still my favorite!
ReplyDeleteHi Lola,
DeleteIt is a great shadeto just to throw on, I do think I have too many RCS though, just can't seem to stop! x
Congratulations on your baby Boy! Monte-Carlo broke my RCS virginity, but Boy was next in line. I do like it a lot, but I prefer Fétiche, which is a hint cooler and about the same depth. Still, it's hard to not like any of these, and I KNOW you know what I mean. ♥
ReplyDeleteLOL Zuzu, why thank you :)
DeleteI am thinking I'm nearing saturation point with RCS, just somehow need to stop my need for them, or apply them every hour in the hope to use some up fo the justification to buy more! x
Yup, Boy was my first too...the first of many I might add. I have yet to find a shade that really did not work for me :))
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!
Nina xx
Hi Nina,
DeleteThats the problem with RCS, they are just all so nice, not sure there are any I'd turn away :)
xx
You are so lucky to have a sweet brother who buys makeup for you! Enjoy the lipstick!:-)
ReplyDeleteHi Shelnmum,
DeleteYes, I was surprised when he came back bearing gifts :)
Boy is my first Chanel Rouge Coco Shine and it's a lovely shade that is so safe to wear and easy to match.
ReplyDeleteHi Miaka,
DeleteI completely agree, such a good shade to start with :)
