Although the focus of the Moonlight holiday collection from Laura Mercier is on the flower embossed Face Illuminator, it was one of the new Luster eyeshadows that caught my eye.
Crystal Beige (£18.50) is a shimmered warm rosy brown/bronze with a hint of copper.
As I have a cool toned complexion it encapsulates a lot of what I avoid, but I can just about get away with it, though it does have a slightly maroon/red cast against my cool skin.
Whilst I don't doubt this would be better suited to those who can wear warm shades, its nice to try something a bit different, I just need to be careful how I wear it.
Quality wise, the pigmentation is very good and it feels smooth and blends well, with an eye base this lasts all day.
I bought this from John Lewis.

It's very interesting to see the swatch on your skin as it's isn't as warm as I was expecting from the pan. It looks nice x
ReplyDeleteThis colour is so different, but gorgeous! It's always fun to try something new.
ReplyDeleteHi Jane,
ReplyDeleteYes, it swatches not nearly as warm as when I have it on, I did try to take pictures of it on my eye but the colour was coming out very muted and not reflective of the true colour. I'm not doing well trying to take eye pics in the winter, I end up with about 30 pics with a strange blue cast! ;) x
Hello Vintage Makeup,
I agree, I do tend to get caught up buying the same shades all the time, I need to remind myself that there are other colours out there :)
