Tom Ford Orchid Haze Eye Colour Quad

I was slightly apprehensive if this would be worth the splurge as I have had varied results with the Tom Ford line, fortunately this is most certainty a must-have for me.

The Orchid Haze palette (£62) contains a shimmery/frosted peachy/pink champagne, shimmery warm taupe, satin dusty mauve rose and a matte deep aubergine (it looks like it contains a slight sparkle but I don't notice it when applied)

The colours are just meant for each other and the results is a refined natural look with a dusty warmth.

The shadows are beautiful smooth and apply like a dream. I think even if you had poor quality brushes, these shadows would still apply well, as they really do just glide on and blend effortlessness.

The pigment level is very good and they apply true to the pan with no fall out. There is no room for improvement in the quality of these shadows, they really are just that good.

I bought this from harrods.com

    1. Thanks Sara :) I'm so glad I got it, its a good thing the line doesn't have other non glitter quads, otherwise I'd feel the need to get them all :)

  2. So glad this worked for you as I know you've had some misses lately :) I think this is a huge step up in quality for TF textures and the shades look beautiful against your blue eyes.

    1. Glad you like the look :) What a shame the shadows are unavailable there, that's so annoying, I guess it means money saved!

    1. Thank you, I just used the crappy little brushes to apply all the colours (though not the liner) just to test the performance of the shades and they really do just blend so nicely :)

    1. Thank you :) I'm very glad I like this so much, given the cost i think I might have cried a bit had it not worked out for me ;)
On a separate note the Burberry Autumn/Winter is finally appearing on line here on a few more sites, which is wondrous as i have spent my money this month, gah!!

  8. Hi Clare!

Thanks for the review! I love your blog, I always check it whenever I want to plan a rouge bunny rouge purchase.
I also have orchid haze and I love it, but I have a question for you: how do you use the rose/mauve shade? I am not very good at eye shadow placement and am wondering how to pair it with the other shades. Thanks!

    1. Hi Alice,
Thanks for the lovely words, that brought a smile to my face :)
I was worried about the rose/mauve shade as well as those tones tend to look really unflattering on me, I use it in the crease and then on the outer V I add a touch of the aubergine over it and that seems to work well :)

    2. I'll try that, thanks so much for the suggestions!

  9. I'm almost glad I don't live near a Tom Ford counter since I'd be spending a lot of money there if I did. I only have one limited edition TF palette from last year and I love it too much to use it. Silly goose!

    1. Its a very tempting brand isn't it :) It can be so tricky digging into limited edition palettes, but just think of it all sat there and lonely ;)

  10. That looks absolutely stunning! Totally right up my alley. Happy to hear that it was more of a yay than a nay. :)

    1. Hi Carina,
I'm very glad it was a winner as well, I think the colours would work for the majority of people and the texture is just lush :)
